Protect Our Children
If you hold to a traditional, Biblical view of sex and gender, then you will face enormous pressure from the world to conform to the culture’s new standard of normalcy. This new standard says that self-identification is more important than physical reality—and that anyone who disagrees is a bigot.
Even a few years ago, the idea that a man could gain access to a woman’s bathroom merely by claiming to be female would have seemed ridiculous. But by today’s new standard, these kinds of actions are not only possible but even widely celebrated.
The Bible is clear that God has created humans to be male and female (Matthew 19:4, Genesis 1:27). While we must have compassion for sexually broken individuals who need repentance and healing, we must also stand firmly for the Biblical standard and recognize that it is not “hatred” to affirm the truth of God’s word.
This rebellion against biological reality exemplifies mankind’s separation from God, and it is not only sinful, but dangerous—especially for our children. We are thankful that the Trump administration rescinded the Obama administration’s special mandates requiring schools to allow students to use bathrooms that corresponded to their perceived gender identity, rather than their biological sex.
However, this issue is not going to go away, and the Secretary of Education is under intense pressure to make special provisions for transgender students. We urge you to join us in taking a stand for truth on this topic by signing this petition to Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, urging her to protect all of America’s children and reject any “special protections” for transgendered students.
Petition to Protect America’s Children
To: Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos
I stand with D. James Kennedy Ministries and many concerned citizens across the nation in urging you to protect America’s children from “special protections” and mandates for transgendered students. The American College of Pediatricians recently, and strongly, cautioned educators and legislators to “reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex.” Try as we might to blur the distinctions between the two, there is no escaping the fact that from the moment of conception, DNA determines whether we are male or female. Please act with the interest of our children and youth at heart, and not in the interest of radical political motivations and federal funding threats. We urge you to use the power and influence of your office to protect our children and defend their future.
